Parami Energy organized the inaugural Myanmar Energy Forum on March 9th in Nay Pyi Taw. This event, cosponsored by DNV GL Energy and Baryon Energy, brought together leading stakeholders of the energy sector to discuss the concerns and goals of Myanmar’s future energy policy. The keynote speech was delivered by parliament member U Thein Lwin; followed by an opening panel discussing the Myanmar Energy Masterplan with representatives of the ADB, DNV GL, Engie, Parami Energy, and a senior parliament member. A lively debate ensued, touching on both the feasibility and issues surrounding coal, LNG, solar, wind, O&G, biomass, and hydro as sources of power and income for the country.
